Beliefs [ ]

When the Lunatic Cultist reaches half health, it volition occasionally supplant an assault with two spreads of five destructible
Ancient Light projectiles.
In Expert Mode later reaching half health, it may also replace an attack with numerous
Ancient Dooms that fire four majestic
Prophecy'due south Cease projectiles in a cross blueprint.
The Lunatic Cultist cycles through five attacks (six when below half wellness) before proceeding to spawn phantom duplicates of itself called Ancient Cultists, along with a larger version of the Mysterious Tablet via a "ritual". Unless the 1 true Lunatic Cultist is interrupted past an set on from a role player during this ritual, the duplicates wing in formation and add together their homing
Shadow Fireball attacks.
Attacking a duplicate or taking also long hitting the existent cultist results in the summoning of the Wyvern-like
Phantasm Dragon . If there is already a Phantasm Dragon inbound, attacking a indistinguishable triggers an
Aboriginal Vision , which will charge the player diagonally. Duplicates can be eliminated by striking the truthful Lunatic Cultist during the ritual, simply if not, large quantities of duplicates tin can aggregate.
Notes [ ]
- The Lunatic Cultist locks on to every player, then if one player uses a Magic Mirror or an Ice Mirror it will despawn.
- If the player loses against the Lunatic Cultist, the Lunatic Devotes and Cultist Archers at the Dungeon will respawn after one in-game day passes.
- The Cultists will not spawn if Skeletron has non yet been defeated in the current world, since the Quondam Man takes spawn priority over the Cultists, except on the mobile version, where the cultists take spawn priority.
- The Lunatic Cultist will only take 75% of the damage from the following projectiles:
- Chlorophyte Bullets, Possessed Hatchet, Bloom Pw'south flail (petals are unaffected), Snowman Cannon using Rockets I, II, Three and IV, Slime Staff, Spider Staff, Scourge of the Corruptor's Tiny Eaters (Main Javelin unaffected), Bat Scepter, Piranha Gun, Chlorophyte Armor's Set Bonus, Magnet Sphere, Spectre Staff, Raven Staff, The Horseman'southward Blade Flaming Jacks, Storm Staff, Imp Staff, Hornet Staff, Queen Spider Staff's Baby Spiders, Optic Staff, Flairon Bubbling, Razorblade Typhoon, Influx Waver'south projectiles, Medusa Head, Seedler's projectiles and Crystal Darts.
- It can only have 6 decoys active at the same time.
- By using a Magic Mirror, Recall Potion, etc., the player can teleport away from the Lunatic Cultist and it will despawn.
- If the player teleports away before the Lunatic Cultist'south spawning animation finishes, the tablet will cease its animation while the Lunatic Cultist despawns.
- The Lunatic Cultist volition always spawn at the Dungeon entrance's original location, regardless of modifications (similar to the four Cultists), meaning that if the four Cultists are teleported or otherwise moved away, and then killed there, the Lunatic Cultist volition instantly despawn if the dungeon entrance is out of range.
- Removing the floor and ceiling at the entrance to the dungeon (where the Quondam Human being spawns for Skeletron summon) will forbid the cultists from spawning.

- Many of the Lunatic Cultist's attacks tin exist blocked by hiding behind solid blocks. A weapon that attacks through blocks or a yoyo can exist used to continue dealing damage.
- There is little reason to farm the Lunatic Cultist itself, as its only not-vanity drops are healing potions and the Ancient Manipulator, which you only need 1 of and does non sell for any money. However, defeating information technology is the merely way to access the Lunar Events and the various fragments.
